The film from the FROOOM! film school for children and youth, made in 2018 (mentors: Anja Pletikosa and Dalija Dozet), is about diversity and (un)willingness to conform, (in)tolerance, and the readiness to express one’s identity while respecting others. “I am Đuro,” after being successfully screened in the competitive program of the Four Rivers Film Festival of Youth Creativity in Karlovac, will be shown at four more festivals in 2019: first at the Cardora Festival (London, UK), then at the 11th edition of the Children’s Rights Festival, which deals with big topics for little people and takes place in the second half of October and early November.

These important life themes, presented in a way that is understandable and acceptable to children, are also addressed by the Frooom! school. The film “I am Đuro” will be shown as part of the Children’s Rights Festival in Matinees for schools in as many as 23 Croatian cities. Following this, it will be featured at the Festival of Audiovisual Creativity of Children and Youth (FICAIJ) in Mérida, Venezuela, and at the end of November, it will be in the competitive program of the Maribor Enimation Festival, where our film “Visions” won the main festival award last year. The film “I am Đuro” will be shown at a total of seven festivals in 2019.
