Catch the Waves of Frooom! 2018

After the magnificent sixth season, the Shadow Casters are opening a new chapter in their successful film school Frooom! and bringing lots of new surprises!

What? Frooom!, a film school and media literacy program for children and youth

• Wave 1: January 27-28; February 3-4; February 10-11
• Wave 2: February 3-4; February 10-11; February 17-18
• Wave 3: February 10-11; February 17-18; February 24-25

…and so on, all the way to the Easter (April 2-6) or Summer (June 18 – July 15) Frooom!

The sixth season of Frooom! ended with great numbers: in 6 cities, totaling 11 weeks, around 1080 working hours, over 500 little Frooomers and over 20 big Frooomers, which means just under 15,000 warm meals and almost 50 films made. It sounds successful, and indeed it was!

At the end of the summer season, the Shadow Casters and Frooom! made a promise, and with the start of the new year 2018, they decided to fulfill it: they have expanded their offer to the entire school year, so current and future little Frooomers can deepen, explore, examine, and build upon their knowledge of shooting techniques, film history, screenwriting, editing, and video mapping every weekend! From the end of January to mid-May 2018!

Frooom Weekend Waves are the answer to the frequent questions and needs of children and parents wanting to add a new extracurricular activity to the usual school curriculum. The content is no different from the Frooom! we know – it’s still the good old interdisciplinary, dynamic, and incredibly fun Frooom! with the famous question it asks us – WHAT DO WE MISS WHEN WATCHING A FILM?

But this time, it spans over 6 days or 3 weekends: Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM and Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM, so we all have time to rest, do homework, and handle Sunday lunch obligations! It may seem like we’ll miss each other a bit from weekend to weekend, but don’t worry! As before, the leaders at Frooom Weekend Waves will give the little Frooomers plenty to think about and analyze… perhaps for the rest of their lives!
