The final result is a loop animation.<br data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"1995\" \/>This is followed by recording a voice-over with impressions, legends, and stories related to the object.<br data-start=\"2099\" data-end=\"2102\" \/>The final outcome is a collective animation accompanied by the participants\u2019 voices.<br data-start=\"2186\" data-end=\"2189\" \/>The workshop is designed to be active, experiential and fun \u2013 participants will learn through play, creative expression and teamwork.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2354\"><strong>About the Workshop Leaders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2355\" data-end=\"2381\">Marko Zdravkovi\u0107-Kunac<\/strong> is the founder of the ritual theater Menerik. In the late 1990s he became the program director of ATTACK and co-founded the FAKI Festival (1998). In 1999 he founded the Fade In collective with young filmmakers, where as a producer and journalist he created more than 150 socially engaged reports for Croatian Television and other projects.<br data-start=\"2721\" data-end=\"2724\" \/>In 2004 he founded the Pulska filmska tvornica (Pula Film Factory), dedicated to developing film culture, film production and education. He produced the TV show <em data-start=\"2885\" data-end=\"2897\">Medionauti<\/em> (2016\u20132019) and the documentary series <em data-start=\"2937\" data-end=\"2955\">Istarske \u0161torije<\/em> (2017\u20132021). At PFT he has led numerous workshops and produced more than one hundred films.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"3049\" data-end=\"3077\">Sanda Letonja-Marjanovi\u0107<\/strong> graduated in Design and Audiovisual Communications at the University of Pula. Since 2011 she has coordinated the first Time Bank in Croatia. At PFT in 2012 she filmed her first fiction-documentary hybrid <em data-start=\"3282\" data-end=\"3312\">How Tina Imagines My Wedding<\/em>, awarded at the 43rd Review of Croatian Film and Video Creativity. She has directed the music video <em data-start=\"3413\" data-end=\"3424\">Love Moon<\/em> (2012), the children\u2019s short fiction <em data-start=\"3462\" data-end=\"3480\">With Love, Water<\/em> (2013), the documentary <em data-start=\"3505\" data-end=\"3516\">No People<\/em> (2014), and the fiction film <em data-start=\"3546\" data-end=\"3578\">Journey to the Sacred Mountain<\/em> (2015). She is the screenwriter and director of the episodes <em data-start=\"3640\" data-end=\"3659\">Forest of Ver\u0111ina<\/em> and <em data-start=\"3664\" data-end=\"3677\">Hejana heja<\/em> in the series <em data-start=\"3692\" data-end=\"3709\">Istrian Stories<\/em>. She has mentored more than 20 workshops at PFT.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"3760\" data-end=\"3787\">Pulska filmska tvornica<\/strong> is an association for film education and production that encourages and supports the development of film authors through theoretical and practical programs. Although officially founded in 2009, it has been active since 2004, when a documentary film workshop was launched together with the Pula Film Festival\u2014soon growing into year-round programs due to the great interest of young creators. Since then, more than 300 films have been made within its club and professional production. In addition to programs for youth and adults, it also runs numerous children\u2019s educational programs\u2014from the School of Animated Film to new media culture programs\u2014fostering creativity and film literacy among new generations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4502\" data-end=\"4532\"><strong>Monday, 24 November 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4533\" data-end=\"4582\"><strong data-start=\"4536\" data-end=\"4580\">&#8220;Film Manipulation &amp; The Forbidden Film&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"4583\" data-end=\"4650\">\n<li data-start=\"4583\" data-end=\"4630\"><strong data-start=\"4585\" data-end=\"4628\">Lecture by Boris Bakal (Shadow Casters)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4631\" data-end=\"4650\"><strong data-start=\"4633\" data-end=\"4642\">Time:<\/strong> 19:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Film has always been both magic and weapon. What captivates us through light on the screen often hides darker intentions\u2014ideological, religious, political, or purely profit-driven. From the \u201cchildren\u2019s fairy tales\u2019\u2019 of the Cold War and obscure soft-porno classics filmed on the Adriatic, to the brutal masterpieces of Pasolini, Makavejev, Vreven and Stojanovi\u0107, the history of film is filled with bans, omissions, fabrications, and manipulations.<br data-start=\"5098\" data-end=\"5101\" \/>Our lecture guides you through fragments of films that subtly manipulate the truth as well as fragments of films that have been silenced, removed, locked away or distorted\u2014not because they were bad, but because they were dangerous. Dangerous for regimes, for religions, for markets, for the status quo.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture <strong data-start=\"5419\" data-end=\"5464\">\u201cFilm and Manipulation \u2013 Forbidden Films\u201d<\/strong> explores the mechanisms of power that decide what we are allowed to see and what remains hidden in archives. Come discover why some dreams had to be forbidden.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"5861\" data-end=\"5876\">Boris Bakal<\/strong> is a theatre and film director, actor, intermedia artist, activist, writer, public historian, curator, advocate of modernist architectural heritage, educator, and co-founder and artistic director of the association Shadow Casters. Over more than forty years of his career, he has created, produced and developed theatre and film projects, performances, multimedia installations, and launched cultural-social-political initiatives presented and\/or produced in over twenty countries around the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"6377\" data-end=\"6395\">Shadow Casters<\/strong> are a multi-award-winning artistic and production platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, creativity and reflection on intermedia art. Since 2015 it has offered a free program for teachers, professors, educators and other professionals and citizens interested in teaching children and youth about film and through film.
