A performance does not end at the moment of its staging; it continues through documentation, archival practices, collective memory and subsequent artistic interventions. Emphasis is placed on performance as a medium of social reflection and change, particularly regarding the relationship between performer, audience and community.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3777\" data-end=\"4159\">Special attention is given to participatory, site-specific and collectively created performances that question social structures and extend into online and hybrid formats. Performance is understood as a process of archiving that goes beyond written or audiovisual documentation and creates new forms of living knowledge.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5320\" data-end=\"5573\">Emphasis is placed on corporeality, embodiment and the potential of performance to activate and transform individual and collective narratives, where methods of recording and mediating artistic actions shape their reception during and after performance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5575\" data-end=\"5603\"><strong data-start=\"5575\" data-end=\"5601\">Key concepts \/ themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"5604\" data-end=\"5918\">\n<li data-start=\"5604\" data-end=\"5680\">\n<p data-start=\"5606\" data-end=\"5680\"><strong data-start=\"5606\" data-end=\"5678\">The body as archive and carrier of memory, knowledge and experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5681\" data-end=\"5800\">\n<p data-start=\"5683\" data-end=\"5800\"><strong data-start=\"5683\" data-end=\"5798\">Performance as a process of living archiving that transcends documents and classical historical reconstruction.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5801\" data-end=\"5918\">\n<p data-start=\"5803\" data-end=\"5918\"><strong data-start=\"5803\" data-end=\"5918\">Reconstruction of performance as always a new performance, conditioned by the audience\u2019s perception and memory.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"5920\" data-end=\"5923\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"5925\" data-end=\"5990\"><strong data-start=\"5928\" data-end=\"5990\">Workshop by Janez Jan\u0161a: \u201cBetween Two Times\u201d \u2013 20 December<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5992\" data-end=\"6107\">The day after the symposium, on 20 December, a workshop by Janez Jan\u0161a titled <strong data-start=\"6070\" data-end=\"6093\">\u201cBetween Two Times\u201d<\/strong> will be held.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6109\" data-end=\"6636\">The workshop begins with an overview of some of Jan\u0161a\u2019s works based on real events, as well as historical performances by other artists. Jan\u0161a will explore various motivations for engaging with the past, always focusing on what confronting the past can reveal about our current living conditions.
