Vanja Zanko (Zagreb, 1980) is contemporary visual arts curator and manager. She organised different projects in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Italy and Germany. She founded two institutions in Croatia: Lauba House Zagreb (2011) as the largest private project space in the country and Nomad Zagreb (2014) as the pioneering platform for production, presentation and distribution in the field of visual arts. Her activities include: curating corporate collections (e.g. Filip Trade Collection Zagreb, Hotel Adriatic Collection Rovinj), managing solo exhibitions with public institutions (e.g. Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka, Museum of Fine Arts Osijek, National Gallery of Macedonia Skopje) and directing artist in residency programs with private partners (e.g. AiR Hotel Adriatic Rovinj, Weekend Residency Nomad Zagreb). She was invited to collaborate with the Ministry of Culture of Republic Croatia on different occasions: curator of Honour Guest Country exhibitions at Bologna Fair, jury member for Vladimir Nazor Award and jury member for innovative artistic and cultural practices funding.
She collaborated with Shadow Casters from 2003 to 2004 in projects: Recollecting Cities/Recollecting Time; Urboteka, Vitić_Dances, Ex-position, Costellazione/Ipse Dixit and Wall Displays.
