(Hrvatski) Radovi s radionice ‘Arhiv, Sjećanje, Glitch’ na Fubar Festivalu (5. – 18. listopada 2024.)

The Fubar Glitch Art Festival and Exhibition will take place at Pogon from October 5 to 18, 2024. The exhibition will showcase films created by participants of the workshop “Archive, Memory, Glitch,” which was held in June 2024 as part of the CinEd 2.1 project and the Froom! Film School, in collaboration with the Format C artistic organization.

Fubar is the longest-running glitch art festival, focused on electronic experiments and the exploration of contemporary theories and practices in digital art centered around the theme of error.

“This five-day event brought together young people who were already familiar with film and film production. They were introduced to our newly added CinEd collection ‘The Ephemerality of Time’ and were challenged to connect it with the concept of error or the art of error in order to reconsider our modern trust in technology, as well as our obsession with perfection, which often overlooks the creative potential of mistakes. The collection ‘The Ephemerality of Time’ was presented using our CinEd platform. Participants were invited to critically reflect on the reliability of our memory and the errors that occur in the transmission of information. The group discussed the role of subjective interpretation and social stigmatization through the example of the film ‘Babajanja’ (dir. The main weekly program of Fubar consists of lectures, workshops, and performances and begins on the first Saturday of October. A guided tour of the exhibition, with a special emphasis on the screening of films created in the workshop “Archive, Memory, Glitch,” will take place at Pogon Jedinstvo on October 16, 2024, at 6 PM. The partner program runs throughout the year, offering artist residencies, educational events, video screenings, group exhibitions, and an open archive, which is displayed and shared at multiple partner locations and online.
