Event Time: December 20, 2018 – 3 PM to 6 PM
Venue: Vila Arko (Jureković), Croatian ITI Center, Basaričekova 24, Zagreb, Croatia
About the Workshop: Identity in Croatian drama and theater is a topic that should be approached from a multitude of perspectives, and even then, a complete picture may not be achieved. The so-called ideological battle that has been ongoing in Croatian theater for over 20 years is evident in both theory and practice, affecting professionals and audiences alike. This fierce competition for space is fought through books, theoretical texts, lectures, theater practice, and broader performance methodologies. One of the key terms/weapons in this creative-ideological battle is “truth,” which will be a central focus of this workshop. Sharpen your pens, moisten your eyes, perk up your ears, and oil your tongues – it’s the identity show, folks!
