“Upside-down Film” announces a mysterious black comedy at Tuškanac on December 4, 2021.

The black comedy scheduled for December 4th at Tuškanac cinema has been canceled due to illness. We have been enjoying our time together since January 8, 2022, and until then, we wish everyone pleasant winter holidays and happy holidays!

According to some, one of the top ten prominent film directors worldwide, the author of this film was born in a South European country and has received over 30 awards for his films at festivals such as Berlin, Venice, Cannes, Montreal, Karlovy Vary, and Valencia.

His film that we will screen at Tuškanac cinema was made back in 1963 and is considered one of his most important works. As a recipient of numerous awards, this film examines the country of the filmmaker from a very particular perspective, exploring its everyday life and the decisions its citizens make daily. It satirically addresses themes of responsibility, consistency, credibility, and survival, all from the perspective of a young person.

For these reasons, it remains relevant today because challenging times always confront us with choices: careers, life partners, business offers, investments, consumption, social activities, education, and daily behavior. Although the destinies of its characters differ significantly from ours today, this difference sheds light on the decisions themselves and their consequences.

This black comedy will both make us laugh and touch us deeply with its brilliant actors, perfect mise-en-scène (direction of scenes and movement of characters within the frame), and cinematography.

This free club film gathering is intended for all young film enthusiasts aged 12 to 18, ready to watch and study films—all upside-down! Those aged 16 and older must have Covid certificates for entry. The gathering takes place from 3 PM to 6 PM at Tuškanac cinema.

The leader of this new upside-down gathering is director and actor Boris Bakal.

See you there!
