At the “Wall Newspapers (WN) – Untold Zagreb 2006-2016” exhibition, all editions of the Wall Newspapers created during the first 10 years of this extraordinary urban, participatory, and innovative project will be presented.
‘Wall Newspapers’ were launched in 2006 as a spin-off project of the multi-year interdisciplinary urban project “Recording the City, Recording Time (RCRT)” by Shadow Casters, born out of the recognized need to make research on the context of intangible cultural heritage, memory, and urban hypertext visible and purposeful in public space, accessible to everyone. Shadow Casters’ ‘Wall Newspapers’ explore the hypertextuality of the city and urban perception by drawing a peripatetic gaze.
From 2006 to the present day, ‘Wall Newspapers’ have been presented at numerous lectures, multimedia exhibitions, workshops, and actions both domestically and internationally (Split, Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Genoa, Amsterdam, Maribor, Ljubljana, Leiden, Nicosia, Pančevo, Belgrade, Bangkok, Copenhagen, Washington, etc.).
The “Wall Newspapers (WN) – Untold Zagreb 2006-2016” exhibition can be viewed from November 14th to 18th, 2022, every day from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the gallery ‘Dnevni boravak DC Rojc’ in Pula, and afterwards it will move to Gospić. Previously, the exhibition was presented in Đakovo and Zagreb.
