The Sky is the Limit

“The Sky is the Limit” is a unique educational program focused on media, film, information, and IT literacy for adults over 54 years old.

The program was created and implemented by Shadow Casters, an artistic association based in Zagreb with extensive experience in professional and artistic interdisciplinary development and education.

The initiative was initially run in collaboration with “Cultural Art Center” from Sinj and “Cultural Education Society Sloga” from Pakrac from July 2018 to August 2019 as part of the ESF project “The Sky is the Limit.” This project was funded through the Art and Culture 54+ call from the “Efficient Human Resources” program 2014-2020.

After a successful pilot phase, the project continued with co-financing from the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild, the Electronic Media Agency, the cities of Zagreb, Koprivnica, and Rijeka, as well as the Croatian Audiovisual Center.

Subsequently, it was further co-financed and implemented through the DKC-HR Clubture Network project, supported by the European Social Fund. In the years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, the program was successfully conducted online under the name Film Labyrinth. Shadow Casters, known for their work with professionals, children, and youth, expanded their educational initiatives to include individuals over 54 years old, focusing on retirees and unemployed individuals in that age group. The program aims to increase media literacy in this segment of the population, bridging the generational gap, and promoting the social inclusion of older citizens.

In 2024, workshops for “The Sky is the Limit” program will be conducted in Zagreb, Koprivnica, and Rijeka.
