Job Description:
- Assisting in the preparation and implementation of educational, research, and participatory projects and programs of the organization in the fields of audiovisual culture, cultural heritage, and performing arts projects;
- Assisting in the implementation of two media literacy educational programs conducted by the organization: Frooom! and “The Sky is Our Limit” (preparing workshops, communication with workshop leaders, marketing and PR, assisting in post-production and distribution of films created in workshops to children’s film festivals);
- Assisting in preparing calls funded through national (HAVC, Ministry of Culture, city, municipality, and county competitions, foundations, etc.) and EU funds;
- Assisting in project implementation (administrative tasks, monitoring implementation, creating evaluation reports, reporting to donors).
Candidate Requirements:
- Completed undergraduate/graduate studies / bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in social sciences (journalism, philosophy, political science, history, sociology, theology);
- The unemployed person must not have more than 12 months of experience in the field for which they were educated;
- Desire for new knowledge and experiences, willingness to work in a team, learn, and improve personal skills.
Other Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills;
- Excellent knowledge of English in speaking and writing;
- Candidates with a category B driving license will have an advantage;
- Candidates who speak multiple foreign languages will have an advantage;
- Preferred experience working with organizations (voluntary, freelance, or through civic initiatives).

Short description of the organization and its programs and projects: Shadow Casters is a multi-award-winning and acclaimed artistic and production platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, creativity, and reflection on intermedial arts. It is a leading non-profit organization in Croatia in the field of studying and implementing participatory management and innovative and participatory artistic, creative, and social practices. We successfully and seamlessly intertwine audiovisual creation, international collaboration, theater performances, urban intermedial projects, activism, pedagogical work, video art, and curatorial practice into a comprehensive artistic activity.
Some of the most important projects/programs currently being implemented by the organization include: two media and film literacy programs: for children and youth Frooom! and for older adults aged 54 and above “The Sky is Our Limit,” the international research and performance project “Everything is About Money,” the production of the film “Concrete Lover”; we are partners in the ESF project “Center for Shaping Everyday Life,” led by the Croatian Designers Society.
