“The Sky Is the Limit” in Sisak – Take a Look at How It Went

Written by on 2025-10-13

We have wrapped up another film workshop, “The Sky Is the Limit.” The workshop took place from October 6 to 10 at the Striegl City Gallery, and in the end, our participants received special recognition — certificates they earned through their dedication. The crown of their work is a short film they conceived, acted in, and filmed together.

Year after year, this workshop proves that citizens over the age of 54 very much need this kind of content, as life doesn’t stop after retirement — for some, it’s just the beginning of diving into what they’ve always been passionate about. Moreover, citizens in this age group, especially in smaller urban areas, often lack digital and media literacy compared to their children and grandchildren, who are “born” media-literate. Through this project, we aim to contribute to a higher level of media literacy in our society — especially within this segment of the population — and to bring generations closer together, reducing misunderstanding and generational gaps.

We also want to promote social inclusion of older citizens in the active part of society and help improve their quality of life. Despite their age or retired status, they can still contribute to their personal growth and to their community through media and film education.

We’ll say it modestly — so far, we’re doing great! We’ve held workshops across Croatia, and they’ve always been fully attended and successfully completed by our participants — just like this one.

In the gallery, you can see how it all went. For the dates of upcoming workshops, follow our pages.
