The Sky is Our Only Limit – A New Film Workshop in Sisak

Written by on 2025-09-26

After successfully held workshops in Zagreb, Rijeka, Pakrac and other cities, the film-educational program “The Sky is Our Only Limit” is coming to Sisak. In collaboration with Striegl Gallery, we are organizing a free introductory film workshop from October 6 to 10, aimed at people aged 54 and above – and all those who feel that way.

SIGN UP HERE.

This workshop offers senior citizens the opportunity to explore the magical world of film over five days in a small group setting. Under the expert guidance of experienced filmmakers and educators, participants will learn about the process of making a short film – from the first idea and scriptwriting, through shooting image and sound, to editing. The workshop is based on practical work and teamwork and concludes with the creation of an original short film that participants will develop and shoot themselves.

The goal of the workshop is not only to introduce the basics of film language, but also to create a space for socializing, sharing experiences, and actively participating in contemporary media processes and content, which are often out of focus for older generations. Special attention is given to new media – television, the internet, social networks, and games – commonly used by younger generations, but which participants will have the opportunity to explore and understand.

Participation is free of charge. The number of places is limited to 15 participants, with priority given to retirees and the unemployed. Participants are expected to attend regularly throughout the entire duration of the workshop.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE SCHEDULE SUITS YOU BEFORE SIGNING UP!

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Applications are open via the online form available HERE.
