At the end of May, specifically from May 28 to 31, in Cetinje (Montenegro), the first kick-off meeting of the new Erasmus+ project TwistedEDU (full title: Twisted Tales Educational Toolkit for parent tutoring and intergenerational learning) was held.

The project leader is the Slovenian Institute for Transmedia Design (Slovenia), and the partners include Shadow Casters (Croatia), Hajde DA! (Serbia), FLUX (Montenegro), RIS Research and Educational Center Rakičan Castle (Slovenia), and ZDUS (Slovenia).

The overall aim of the project is to contribute to the informal learning of adults with a cultural and creative component, helping younger generations acquire skills and competencies, including digital ones, that enhance their creativity and empathy towards vulnerable groups and different narratives. The project also aims to enhance informal adult learning for acquiring new skills and competencies with a focus on digital competencies and knowledge of augmented reality technologies. All these objectives are unified by the intention to promote social inclusion of vulnerable groups through art by fostering innovations in participatory and intercultural dialogue.
Planned activities include the recreation and digitalization of four fairy tales that will serve as tools to stimulate creativity in storytelling by caregivers and promote empathy for the elderly among children and youth. There will also be the development of a comprehensive educational package called “Twisted Tales” and the creation of a web platform and mobile application, which will be showcased through an online exhibition of user-generated content.

The aforementioned meeting brought together all partners and laid the groundwork for further collaboration and joint development and implementation of all activities throughout the project. The project is scheduled to run until February 2024.
