Shadow Casters is delighted to announce the final, seventh cycle of the highly successful project Film Labyrinth, which has been attended by over 70 participants from all over Croatia. This cycle will be held in collaboration with the association Teatar od soli and the Biograd na Moru City Library.

Through our “Film Labyrinth” project, participants (54+) independently navigate through a series of puzzles in an online “labyrinth” browser-based application, at the end of which they independently discover a mysterious film and watch it via a link where the film will be available. They then discuss it in group online sessions/workshops via an online platform with experienced mentors/facilitators.

The final cycle of Film Labyrinth was written by Croatian author Ivana Bodrožić and is related to the theme of film adaptation of literary works, as well as editing and narration. In this labyrinth, we will explore film curiosities, directorial decisions and techniques, discover connections with other films or artistic works, and learn how to “tell” a film. All aspects of film storytelling will be in play: forms of narration, technological aspects of scene splicing, understanding and recognizing learned viewing patterns and habits, and all visual and sound triggers for story interpretation.

The PRO workshop is designed as an online workshop for independent scriptwriting with practical exercises. Only imagination (and the sky) is the limit!

In this dance with the film Minotaur, you will explore and create in the Labyrinth, receiving tasks and instructions, all of which will be fun, intriguing, and revealing. The workshop is designed so that during it you will master all aspects of online education and interaction, tailored to your existing knowledge which you will enrich and complement during your journey through Filmski Labirint.

Workshop schedule:

• Saturday, 22.04., 10-12h
• Saturday, 29.04., 10-12h
• Saturday, 06.05., 10-12h
• PRO scriptwriting workshops will be held on May 13, 14, and 21 from 10 am to 1 pm or as agreed with the participants. The workshop leader is Uroš Živanović.
