Shadow Casters, alongside the “Backpack (Full) of Culture” project, are taking high school students on a journey through film.
As part of the “Backpack (Full) of Culture – Art and Culture in Preschools and Schools” project, Shadow Casters held a thematic workshop titled “Immovable Movement – Journey Through Film” on May 19th at Bartol Kašić High School in Grubišno Polje, on June 2nd at Antun Matijašević Karamaneo High School in Vis, and on June 14th at Ambroz Haračić High School in Mali Lošinj.
The workshop “Immovable Movement – Journey Through Film” emerged from exploration and wonder at everything that allows us to watch movies: human physiology, physics, incredible technological advancements over the past 126 years, and the human need to record and narrate about the reality around us. The workshop introduces students to the world of film through numerous examples, practical work, and an individualized and interactive approach.
The artistic and educational project “Backpack (Full) of Culture” is aimed at students aged 6-18 years, facilitating the adoption and introduction of art and culture to children and youth living in environments with limited access to cultural and artistic content. The program is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Media and the Ministry of Science and Education.
Support for the program and Shadow Casters comes from the Ministry of Culture and Media, the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, and the Culture Nova Foundation.
