Workshop for those who want to listen to the city – “Whisper of the Walls” in Đakovo!

WHAT: “Whisper of the Walls” – workshop for listening to the city and exploring its multi-layered resources

WHEN: October 11-13, 2022 – from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM

We invite those who want to listen to the city to the interdisciplinary workshop “Whisper of the Walls”, where researchers and experts from various professions (dramaturgy, architecture, art history, journalism, sociology, film, etc.) will teach participants how to observe space from multiple perspectives, explore visible and invisible choreographies of space and the city itself where they live, and collect their audiovisual characteristics. Participants in this workshop learn to observe the world around them and understand the city and its spaces as a shared resource of all citizens.

The workshop aims to uncover and record traces of urban material and immaterial heritage, discover its historical and social dynamics and connotations, and connect them with specific urban architectural and construction heritage. Based on this, participants will design a micro-hypertextual tour of part of Đakovo and invite their parents, friends, and other interested citizens to join.
