The Sky is the Limit: film showcase at Gallery MOTS

In the 2023/2024 season, several film workshops for retirees titled “The Sky is the Limit” were held, organized by the Shadow Casters Association. These workshops resulted in three films created through group effort and the dedication of participants and their mentors. To recognize their hard work, we invite you to join us at the film screening from the workshops on Tuesday, December 17th, at 18:00 at the Trnjanska Savica Neighborhood Center – Gallery MOTS.

The first workshops were held in November 2023, led by director Karlo Vorih and director and instructor of Frooom! Film School Mia Maros Živković. A year later, workshops were held under the leadership of director Paula Skelin, journalist, screenwriter, and producer Velimir Grgić, and director Karlo Vorih. At this screening, we will showcase all the films created during these meetings at the Trnjanska Savica Neighborhood Center.

During these workshops, participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with all stages of the filmmaking process, including image and sound recording, the director’s role, scriptwriting, and much more. Through teamwork, they collectively created the final product—a short film that reflects their creativity and filmmaking skills, which we will all witness on Tuesday, December 17th at 18:00 at the Trnjanska Savica Neighborhood Center – Galerija MOTS.

Shadow Casters is a highly awarded and praised artistic and production platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, creativity, and reflection on intermedial art. It successfully and seamlessly intertwines filmmaking, international collaboration, theatrical performances, urban intermedial projects, activism, educational work, video art, and curatorial practices into a comprehensive artistic endeavor.
