“Sky is the limit” workshop in Rijeka

Workshops are for those who love to socialize, play, have fun, and learn through play, those who are young at heart but over the age of 54. For those who know or want to learn how to make movies.

The workshop lasts for five days: August 26th-30th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Location: Rijeka City Library – Central Library in “Benčić”

So far, we have conducted workshops in Zagreb, Sinj, Pakrac, Pula, Koprivnica, and Karlovac, where we had a great time and made about 30 films, which we presented at screenings and festivals. In these films, we walked under rainbows, witnessed love intrigues, discovered how a lost pendant was returned to its owner exactly 60 years later, explored what a retired woman does during her pensioner’s week, created commercials for existing and non-existing products and services, and recorded TV news. Alongside all this, we also learned about the history of film and film professions, watched many classic and newer films, discussed them, socialized intensively, and played many other interesting social games as well as those that enhance our perception, concentration, and focus.

Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with all stages of the filmmaking process, including image recording, sound recording, and will get to know the director’s job as well as screenwriting and much more. Through teamwork, they will collectively create a final product – a short film or video that will reflect their creativity and filmmaking skills. The workshop will be led by film experts Veno Mušinović, a film and theater director, actor, and dramaturge, professor of philosophy and educator, and cinematographer, as well as theater director and educator Alisa Debelić.

Participation in the workshops is completely free, but attendance is required for the entire duration of the 5-day workshop. During the workshops, a fantastic hot meal will be provided for the participants, and the number of spots is limited to 15 participants!
